Old International Terminal to be demolished

Brisbane Airport's old international terminal is scheduled to be demolished. Opened in 1975 it was used for twenty years until the existing international terminal opened in 1995. The terminal has been used until recently by DHL Freight. The words "Arrivals" and "Departures" can still faintly be seen on the kerbside of the building. The first departure from the old terminal was Qantas flight QF956 to Christchurch operated by B707-338C VH-EAA "City of Toowoomba" on 16 DEC 75. The first arrival was Air New Zealand flight TE801 from Auckland operated by Douglas DC-8 ZK-NZC on the same day.
