Regional Airline Brindabella Airlines has been put into receivership and all flights suspended indefinately following the grounding of much of its fleet by CASA for failing to do timely safety inspections.
CASA grounded four of the airline's 10 aircraft last month because engine inspections had not been completed ontime. Two aircraft returned to the air however another six aircraft were grounded this weekend.
Brindabella operated flights from Brisbane to Tamworth, Coffs Harbour and Narrabri using Jetstream 41s and Metro aircraft.
