Starting this weekend and ending on 01 August there are approx another 200 aircraft movements a week being reinstated for the peak period or new flights altogether.
Jetstar and Qantas will add approx 66 movements a week to cities and towns such as Roma,Newcastle,Mackay,Darwin,Townsville,Perth,Melbourne and Sydney.Some of these flights commenced last week.
Virgin will add up to 70 movements a week from next month with Bundaberg and Moranbah receiving new flights and Rockhampton,Gladstone and Melbourne getting increased frequencies.
On the international front a further 66 movements a week are programmed to commence from June although some of these flights will be seasonal only .
Virgin are planning on adding another 24 movements a week mostly seasonal June-Sep period .These will operate to Port Vila ,Auckland,Denpasar and Queenstown.
New carriers such as Phillipines,Garuda and increases from Malaysian,Qantas(Hong Kong and Queenstown) and China Southern and Air New Zealand (seasonal to Queenstown and Christchurch) complete the increases.
