Virgin Lease on Alliance Fokker 100 ends
Tomorrow (Sunday) will be the end of the 12 month lease of two Alliance Fokker 100s by Virgin Australia. The two Fokker 100s which operated most of the flights were VH-XWM and VH-XWN wearing a 'milk bottle' livery. These aircraft operated flights from Brisbane to Cairns, Rockhampton, Newcastle and Proserpine. Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800s and Embraer 190s will take all routes previously flewn by the Fokker 100s as of Monday 11th. Alliance still lease some Fokker 100s for use by Qantaslink.
